Two months! Also, let's connect...

Yes, the 13th of the month has taken on a new significance for me -- it's the book birthday of THE MAGICIAN'S LIE. In this case, the book's been out on shelves for two months. And it's been a delightful, amazing, unbelievable ride.

I'm here on the blog from time to time, but if you want to connect with me more regularly, social media is the way to go: here's where to find me on Twitter or Facebook.

Pick of the (Snowy) Week

Just got word that The Magician's Lie is the Pick of the Week in the Boston Globe. So it must be perfect to snuggle up with as the coming snowpocalypse approaches, right? Seriously, everyone stay safe in this heavy winter weather. Brrrrr.

At this moment my luncheon event in Connecticut is still on for Wednesday midday, but I'll update the Events page if that situation changes. Stock up on books and charge all your devices! See you on the other side of the melt!

Review roundup!

Back home now and get to stay here for, say, roughly 42 hours before I'm on the road again! But I got a nice dose of Friday cheer with an unexpected appearance in the Chapter & Verse feature at The Christian Science Monitor. They quote some of the book's great reviews, like the starred one from Publishers Weekly as well as the Indie Next honor and Library Journal. And I really like the part where they say "And for its next trick, the novel “The Magician’s Lie” by Greer Macallister just might become a hit." Here's hoping!

Great reviews, great reviews, great reviews, and also Kirkus.

Dream Come True Alert: Shelf Awareness

It's been a great launch week, with good news every day, and today's is a excellent capstone for the week. I've been a big fan of Shelf Awareness for several years. It's a great source of information about publishing, bookselling, and the whole world of bookdom -- and in today's issue, I'm the Book Brahmin, answering all sorts of questions about my reading habits past and present.

And, no joke, I've been waiting for someone to ask me my favorite line from a book for years. You'll have to read the Q&A to find out what it is.

Find that answer, and all the others, here

I'm on the road!

On the road and in the air and across the tracks... yes, book tour has begun. And it started off right with an unexpected upgrade to first class. And also coney dogs in the Detroit airport, which I love. Kind of overwhelmed with everything going on, but this will be a great week meeting readers in my home state of Iowa as well as Chicago, where my publisher is based. Onward!
